...where one bunch of you are sitting in summer/winter...did i ever think an aussie winter was truely cold?
...& the rest of you are sweating it out in ridiculous humidity
...it's still ummmm....raining
...well there were patches of blue & the sun came out twice
...my british bestie & i ran to the garden with wines in hand
...we smiled at each other...BIG
...we woke on sunday to more rain
...B.U.T my new attitude is W.H.A.T.E.V.E.R!!
...i mean it never killed anybody
...yep..it does feel like torture of a kind i grant you
...but i still have my health...my physical health that is
...seriously border line on the mental health
...as i said torture of a kind
...the kiddos & i had a few jobs up in our little high street here in our little town to knock on the head
...i had sellers of my wares to pop in & see
...we had a new cupcake shoppe to try out
...we had our dear friends & kiddos coming over for a one-pot
...& the house was in dire need of some flowers that weren't from my garden
...well mine are all a bit wet
...W.H.A.T.E.V.E.R!!
...we did the deal on the miss.sew & so wares...
...which *cleverly* means i go to the few gorgeous shops i sell through to collect my mula
...& i walk out with a *swaparoo*
...yep i see things i love...absolutely HAVE to have & i swap them for what i previously delivered!
...works for me
...not quite so much for the ol'hubby who thinks i run a brilliant buisness
...i take OUR money
...buy vintage fabric & bits
...create something lovely
...sell it {in theory}
...& then give them back the money i make for something i TOTALLY can't live without in their shops!
...so nothing actually comes home
...but the things i wanted in the first place
...he likes my buisness model
...because i seem to have it all!!
...women are like that in buisness- savvy & smart :)
...a lovely old washing basket...
...& another PERFECT old white chippy chair...
...& some cash...
...not quite what *he* had hoped for
...but after he'd folded the washing into the beautiful old washing basket
...& after he'd had a little *smackeral* of something at the farm table
...& pulled the new white chippy chair into that moment of sunshine i was mentioning....
...he was sooo happy...
...he really loves that farm table...
...he keeps mentioning how much he loves it :) !!
...hope he loves the knob i need to buy for it from Anthropologie
...white china or clear glass knob from anthro for the drawer above??...
...i'm in two minds...
...so the weekend held a little something for everyone...
