but i am a seriously obsessed with baking bread...border line scary obsessed..

i love to bake at any chance i get...
at my peak mad times...two big gorgeous loaves a day...
i love to rustle up an asian chook with noodles & a venician pasta too...

but i loooove to bake bread...

imagine my delight when we left our little french village over the summer & found this...

a bread festival...festival du pain...


i didn't even need to beg ask hubster firmly, but nicely, to stop the car...HE stopped because he knew it would make my day...

ooohhh & make my day it did...


stone bread ovens...

old bread cloths, floured & thick, bowing in the breeze...


french country bakers & literally mountains of good organic country bread...

HEAVEN...france...sunshine...bread...



i learnt to make bread on the island of Rasaay off the Isle of Skye....Scotland...by a very special friend of mine...a mad london gal...

she would have loved this bread festival...

hell...you could literally {& oddly} hate  flour & still want to bake bread ofter a morning like this...



i DID NOT leave empty handed...
but i did leave justified...VERY justified with my obsession!




...i hold this man & his river cottage totally responsible for my love of bread making...
...he is an organic genius in our house...
