morning all....

& thankyou sooo very muchly for all your wonderful & full-of-friendship comments yesterday....

it was a VERY long post to get through without at least one glass of wine in hand...
so i very much loved you sharing your reaction to it...
i truely enjoyed writing it...

anyhoooo...today i don't quite have that kinda post in me...
i think my mind now needs to just focus on the visual beauty that made up our time in france...

as a pretty mad closet *sound of music* fan...
i have to admit i have always wanted to visit a beautiful old abbey in the hills of some european village...

well we did just that & my heart literally *fluttered*...
it was just *love-at-first-sight*...

these are the memories i  will treasure of our travels...
the kiddos surrounded by a moment they would just never be have in our beachy life back home...

they stopped...played...smelt & pocketed some of the abbey herbs...& took in the moment...
even they knew this was pretty special...

i think little audrey even smuggled out an abbey ladybug to take with us to lunch...she's a bit of a bug gal & it was soo lovely & no doubt blessed...she just couldn't help herself...

& you know what made me *ooohhh* & *aahhhh* just a little more than usual...?
that this magic ancient perfect abbey was just sitting there...in the middle of an old french town...with the locals buying their baguettes near it...people drinking their espresso's beside it & children running along its street...it wasn't a tourist point...it had no sign or markings to lure one in...it just sat there *quietly* humbly as life went on around it...

...i was in heaven....
..it absolutely took all my power not to break into song!...
